Client: Te Maungarongo Whenua Trust

Scope of Work: Deliver full infrastructure build for Papakainga Development.

Key aspects of this project included:

• Assisting the whanau through the feasibility and funding requirements
• Project management and coordination
• Site preparation for six house sites
• Utility installation (electricity, water, and telecommunications)
• 1000m of sealed road and footpath construction
• Installation of a box culvert for creek crossing
• Building and installing a 15m steel walkway bridge across a stream
• Construction of a 15m x 28m basketball court

 Key Achievements:

• Delivered the entire project using 100% local contractors.
• Successfully managed stakeholders and contractors, overcoming challenges posed by Cyclone Gabriel, which left the community without power or access to the site for weeks.
• Collaborated with clients to deliver the project scope on time and within budget, despite managing several unforeseen variations.
• Built strong relationships with clients, and the community fostering trust and collaboration throughout the project.
• Worked closely with mana whenua and whanau to understand and incorporate cultural requirements into the project
