Our Vision / About Us

Our why

We are whānau

The company’s kaupapa is deeply rooted in Te Ao Māori. Tikanga, whānaungatanga and manaakitanga runs through everything we do. When Ida and Bronson Murray started North Drill Ltd. in 2015, they had one drill, one truck, and four employees. Since then, the business has grown fast, winning a raft of awards along the way, and now employing more than 50 staff that work on projects throughout Te Tai Tokerau Northland.

North Drill Ltd has grown from a small family-run business to a well-known Northland industry leader, but what hasn’t changed is the supportive and whānau-centred approach. We’re a team of professional and reliable operators; each as enthusiastic and keen to do a great job as the next.

What’s important to us is doing great work, designing innovative solutions, tackling new challenges, and getting great results. Collectively, we take huge pride in supporting, developing, and cultivating relationships within our team as well as across the sector.

Getting great results

“He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata!”
“What is most important in this world? It is people”

Our people are our greatest asset. By growing and developing our North Drill whānau and supporting our community, we strengthen our capability and lay the foundation for delivering exceptional services. We believe that when our people thrive, so does our business and the communities we serve.

Our Team

At North Drill, it’s the people that make each day count. It’s about being constructive, purposeful and with action. There is a culture here where everyone gets the opportunity to be the best version of themselves.
